Data Deletion Instructions

At Formation Fantasy, we believe you should have full control over your data. This page explains how to delete your account and all associated personal information.

Delete Your Account In-App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your data is through the app itself.

Open Settings

Launch the Formation Fantasy app and navigate to Settings from the main menu.

Go to Account

Tap Account to access your account management options.

Select Delete Account

Scroll down and tap Delete Account. You’ll be prompted to confirm your identity.

Confirm Deletion

Review the information about what will be deleted, then tap Confirm to finalize your request.

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to:

  • Your fantasy teams and leagues
  • All match history and statistics
  • League memberships and standings
  • Any active Pro subscriptions (cancel these separately first)

Please cancel any active subscriptions before deleting your account. See the FAQ for subscription management details.

Request Deletion by Email

If you’re unable to access the app, you can request deletion via email.

Compose Your Request

Send an email to privacy@formationfantasyapp.com with the subject line: “Data Deletion Request”

Include Account Details

To help us locate your account, please include:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your Formation Fantasy username or team name
  • Any additional identifying information that can help us verify your identity

Verification

We may contact you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request. This is to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.

Confirmation

Once verified, we will process your request and send a confirmation email when your data has been deleted.

What Happens After Deletion

Account & Profile
Your account, profile information, and login credentials are permanently erased.
Fantasy Data
Teams, leagues, match history, transfers, and all gameplay data are deleted.
Anonymized Records
Some data may be retained in anonymized form for league integrity and statistical purposes. Past league results may show ‘[Deleted User]’ instead of your username.

Data Retention Timeline

After your deletion request is processed, your data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days. Data in backup systems may take up to an additional 30 days to be fully purged.

Cancel Before You Delete

If you have an active Formation Pro subscription, cancel it before deleting your account to avoid continued billing:

  1. iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Formation → Cancel
  2. Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & Subscriptions → Formation → Cancel

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions — you must handle this separately through your app store.
